Suspension and Bike Setup
Suspension and bike setup are fundamental to both developing speed and building confidence on the trail. A poorly configured bike doesn't just compromise performance it places unnecessary physical and psychological demands on the rider, accelerating fatigue and undermining the mental clarity required to ride at your best.
For this reason, athletes are actively encouraged to experiment with their suspension and cockpit setup. Dialling in your sag, compression, rebound, and overall geometry to suit your body and riding style is not a luxury it is a performance variable that deserves the same attention as your fitness or skills training.
Do not be afraid to make adjustments. Iterative experimentation is how you find the setup that works for you, and small changes can have a significant and immediate impact on how the bike feels beneath you, how efficiently you absorb trail features, and ultimately, how fast you move through terrain.
